Fully future-proof, the system features a rapid software load facility for upgrades, as well as being based around a modular design. Plug-in cards aid reliability and downtime, whilst a memory-card backup system provides security in the case of system failure.

ECM's strength is in its compatibility, and the SRCe can be interfaced to nearly all ECM player position boards with the exception of the very earliest. Full "stage support" is also provided, giving a link back to the Main Stage Bingo RNGe.
