Software QA
Technology is only of any use when it works! The nature of modern, interconnected digital systems means that extensive testing prior to shipping is a must, to ensure that the finished product meets our requirements (and our customers’) and that it will work on site.
With an installed base of equipment as extensive as ECM’s, the problem is even greater. Because of the inherent reliability of our products, many operators still use systems which are 15 years old or more. Ensuring that the latest products are fully compatible with this older equipment is a vital part of our product release procedures.
We have invested heavily in our Quality Assurance systems, and we maintain several fully equipped bingo club simulation systems. In these, we can cross-couple equipment of almost any variant and age, to ensure compatibility and minimise risk as far as possible.
Careful documentation and formalised test scripts ensure that a methodical approach to quality testing takes place, with the ability to re-run exact tests when checking that a “bug” has been found and eradicated.
Product Quality Control
Each piece of equipment which we manufacture is individually tested, both before and after assembly; systems are tested throughout manufacture. A typical bingo controller would pass through no less than fifteen separate test procedures - and would then undergo several weeks' worth of "soak" testing to reduce the slight failure risk even further.
We are proud that our electronic systems have an operating life in some cases of twenty years or more.
